Clang. Clang. Clang. The metal-clad boots echoed in the chamber beyond, and I knew it was here. It had tracked me, hunted me here. It had been trying to kill me ever since I got here.
As I opened the door and stepped through, the worst of all the things about this monster crossed my mind. I strode across the wide, open metal floor of the station's main control deck, the door sealing shut behind me and locking tight.
Across the room, waiting for me, was myself. The abilities I had, so did it, for it was grown from me. The armor it had, it used to be mine. Pure, prestigious orange, signifying the last and greatest in ancient Chozo technology.

Crocomire, Scourge of Norfair
The tunnel had been dug under the surface of the planet Zebes, deep within the crust of the region they called Norfair. It seemed like your run-of-the-mill mining tunnel, it was perfectly cylindrical and plenty wide its entire run, and had tool marks etched in all the surfaces. The soft red rock that made up the majority of the crust here enclosed the entire space, leaving only three exits. The first two of those were the ends of the tunnel, wherever past they lie. The third was my entrance, embedded in the ceiling leading to another cavern.
I walked down one of the paths the tunnel offered me, and soon I came across a strange creature. It s

The darkness wrapped the whole room in a deep, unrelenting gloom as I jumped off the ledge to the floor below. My Gravity Suit assisting me, I fell through the surprisingly clear waters, and I fell even further than I thought I would. I dropped to the sandy ground, sinking such a distance that even with the Gravity Suit I wouldn't be able to reach the ledge I had taken the leap from.
Looking for an alternate exit, I surveyed the room again. If I had failed to notice the exact depth on my first look, maybe I hadn't noticed something else. I swept the submerged chamber full circle, Arm Cannon ready for anything wanting to catch me off guard.

I was just resting in my Duke Cave when I was awoken by my computer. It warned me that something bad was happening and it couldn't figure out what.
So I went outside, expecting aliens infesting Las Vegas. I was in for one HUGE surprise...
"What the hell?" I said, retreating back into the Duke Cave to retrieve my prized gold-plated M1911 pistol. I loaded it, grabbed a few extra mags, and again ventured out. I wasn't dreaming, it was real, alright. "What are those alien bastards up to now?"
After walking around this strange land where the Vegas Strip should have been, I spotted a woman in a tight blue suit. Maybe she needed a little...help,

"I feel a disturbance in the Force," I said to General Kota. We were both in my ship, the Rogue Shadow, heading for a planet previously unknown that had just showed up on the scanners. "The weird thing is...Not all of it is Force-sensitive."
"It must come from another galaxy then," replied Kota back. "I sense Force-blindness as well, young Padawan. We must find out what causes this."
As the Rogue Shadow passed into the atmosphere of the planet, I could see out the viewport something that defied all galactic knowledge. There were three combatants fighting atop a platform that floated above a pool of water. One wore a green tunic, and brandis

Alright, time to get this show on the road, I thought as my finger struck the Missile trigger. A projectile streaked out of the Arm Cannon attached to my arm and impacted the red door ahead of me. The door was blown off its hinges, and I stepped inside to find something so familiar, yet at the same time so very alien.
The first obstacle was the array of big red life-support tubes blocking the passage ahead. I hit the trigger again, and another crimson explosive rocketed its way to the target. It may h
